A space to just be human.
Temple Atelier is a hair studio built on presence, not performance — raw walls, an easy energy, and a chair where you can drop the armour for an hour. Bespoke cuts, colour and care from someone who's spent 15 years learning to listen first.
Raw. Authentic. Mellow. Tucked into a leafy corner of Craighall Park, Temple Atelier doesn't chase the shine of a typical salon. It's home first — the kind of room where the energy comes from the people in it, not the fittings. Come for the cut, stay for the quiet.
Behind the chair.
Morgan
Resident Stylist · Temple AtelierI've been in the industry long enough to realise that it's not so much about hair but about holding space for humans to just be… human.
Approximately 15 years have taught me that it's my duty to be present, well informed, educated and open with those who are generous enough with their time and vulnerability to give as much of my craft and my ability to listen to what they have to say, and therefore, what they need. It's not just a haircut, it's a new perspective on yourself which in turn, becomes your perspective on life.
Through this I've done what I can to learn more about myself so I can offer what is (hopefully) needed to others — applying myself to every stroke of the comb, every clipped section, every close of a blade.
I've been fortunate to work in some really cool spaces, but then realised it's not the space that makes it the space — it's the energy within it, the guests, the team. I do my best to harness whatever's necessary to share this: not just the beautiful uniqueness in every difficult client's story, but cracking that hard shell open so they can communicate what they'd like, and hear their language, while teaching them that they too can look amazing without my assistance.
I'm privileged to work out of the leafy suburb of Craighall Park, out of a studio called Temple Atelier. It's raw, authentic, mellow, and has an energy of home. Here we offer bespoke, carefully considered solutions to our guests' needs, while working tirelessly toward the kind of service this country doesn't always get enough of — a smile, a handshake, a hug.
This industry is so very giving, and I've had the honour of working alongside some incredibly bright, creative and talented individuals. I endeavour to share as much as I possibly can with whomever I work with. AI might help us with marketing, structuring, planning or expanding our craft — but it won't replace us as humans, and our ability to hold space for others. I hope I can help you find some confidence in what you do, what I do, what we do, as a collective. Let's begin.
